George graduated in 1968 with his BA from
Northwest College.
Joyce (nee England) attended during the 1962/63 years.
We were married in Calgary, Alberta in
June of 1964.
After George
graduated, we traveled for about a year in evangelistic meetings.
We then went to New York City and worked with Rev. Benjamin
Crandall of Brooklyn Tabernacle which at that time was the largest
English
speaking Assembly of God Church in the City of New York.
George was youth pastor as well as the
chaplain of New York Christian Academy, a Christian High School.
After about a year or so we left New
York and came back to Washington State to the Kirkland area at which
time we
began to pioneer what is now
Cedar Park Church in
Bothell.
We began Cedar Park Assembly
in the
Helen Keller Elementary School in Kirkland in June of 1970 and stayed
there
nearly 11 years.
The last 4 years
of our ministry there, the first church building was established on the
property on Juanita /Woodinville Drive.
This church reached approximately 500 people.
In 1981 we accepted the pastorate of Richmond Pentecostal
Church in metropolitan Vancouver Canada.
In
1985 we took the Pastorate of
Elim Tabernacle
in
Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada. Then
in 1992, we were called to Harvest City Church in Vancouver, B.
C.
Canada.
Since graduating from Northwest, George has furthered his
education, by earning a Master’s degree, followed by a Doctor of
Ministry
Degree from Canadian Theological Seminary.
At the present time we continue to Pastor
Harvest City
Church,
Vancouver. It is a church with an outreach to Vancouver and to the
World.
George heads up a number of
ministries
extending beyond his church.
They
are:
President of the “Association
of Christian Ministries of Vancouver”;
“Director of
Vancouver,
City of Destiny”; Founder and President of an
international ministry called “City Embassy” where he connects the
church of
one city with another and strengthens church leadership in each
respective
city.
At present his key focus is
the United Kingdom and China.
Joyce is in a pre doctoral program as well as an ordained
minister on the pastoral team at Harvest City Church.
We have 3 married children, two daughters and one son.
We have eight grandchildren.
